The Paulding County Sheriff's Office seeks your help in locating a missing "at risk" person:

(Paulding County, GA) The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help with locating a missing elderly male from Paulding County. Robert Thomas (84 year old black male) was last seen at 284 Legacy Park Lane Powder Springs, GA 30127 in Paulding County at approximately 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning (January 19, 2010). Family members of Thomas contacted authorities at approximately 9:30 p.m. Wednesday evening to report Thomas missing when he never returned home. Thomas’ vehicle is also missing from the residence. His vehicle is described as a two tone dark blue over light blue 2006 DTS Cadillac passenger car. The vehicle will have a Florida tag, D183MS.

The missing person is described as follows:
• Black male
• 84 years of age
• 5 ft 9 in
• 175 lbs
• Black and gray thinning hair
• Thin build

The missing person was last seen wearing:
• Black Leather Jacket
• Blue Ball Cap
• Khaki Pants

Thomas is reported by family members to have dementia. Thomas is prescribed medication for high blood pressure and anxiety. The medication was left at the residence. He is also equipped with a pace maker. The family believes that Thomas may have gone for a drive and become lost. Thomas recently moved from a home in the Ocala, Florida area. Authorities in that area have checked the area with no contact. The family also reports that he could have travelled to the Shorter, Alabama area.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office would ask for anyone that may have information of Mr. Thomas’ whereabouts to contact the local law enforcement agency for that area or dial 9-1-1. People with information may also contact the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office at 770-443-3010.
