Travelers Encouraged to Avoid Certain Areas
PEORIA, Ariz – (Jan. 22, 2010) – Here are the latest Peoria road restrictions as of 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22.
Closed:
• Jomax Road between Terramar Boulevard and 83rd Avenue/WestWing Boulevard.
Jomax is closed along this stretch due to discharge from the New River Dam; this closure is expected to last through Monday morning, Jan. 25.
• 99th Avenue between Olive Avenue and Butler Drive
99th Avenue is closed along this stretch due to local flooding; this closure is expected to last through Friday night, Jan. 22.
Restricted:
• Lake Pleasant Parkway from WestWing Boulevard to State Route 74
The road is open, but drivers should exercise caution due to excess water along portions of the roadway.
