The Paulding County Sheriff's Office is releasing information about recent crime activity near your address.

The area that was targeted was Macland Rd at Amberley Senior Community.

Several vehicles were reported as entered recently with multiple items (i.e. elcectronics, GPS units, etc) taken from these vehicles. Some of the vehicles did not have signs of forced entry and may have been left unlocked.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office is reminding everyone to lock your car doors at night and remove all of your valuables from your vehicle. We would recommend that you NOT leave any valuables within sight inside of the vehicle. This practice may increase your chance of becoming a victim if a suspect can identify something of value inside of the car. We also recommend parking your vehicle inside of a locked garage whenever possible. Exterior lighting can also help deter this type of crime if the vehicle is parked in a well lit area.

The information provided in these messages is not intented to place blame on any individual that may find themselves as a victim of a crime. It is intended, rather, to inform our citizens of crime patterns that we identify and offer a few tips that may help reduce your chance of falling victim to the same crime.
