Arrest 6 in a String of Entering Autos

(Paulding County, GA) The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges on six (6) people ranging from 15 to 25 years old in the entering auto cases that have plagued communities in the area of Cedarcrest Road. The list of charges for the three juveniles and three adults include:
• 7 counts of Entering Auto;
• 1 count of Burglary;
• 5 counts of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (felony); and
• 1 count of Theft by Taking (felony);

The items that were stolen range from GPS units to firearms and three bullet proof vests. Several of the items that were stolen are still be located and recovered while other items, such as debit cards and checks, are known to be destroyed.

On June 22, 2010, a Neighborhood Watch meeting was held involving several members of the Bentwater Subdivision and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office shared information with these citizens about the ongoing investigation and received great feedback as well as additional information. A plan was established in order to restore the sense of safety that was once felt in the area.

On July 1, 2010, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Investigation Division made the first arrest in the investigation which uncovered even more leads, suspects, and stolen property. Detectives continued to work with members of the communities in order to recover and return the stolen property.

One suspect is still wanted in the case and remains “on the run.” Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Brandon Just is asked to contact the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division. • 24 years old;
• White male;
• 5’7, 140-160 lbs.;
• Brown hair, blue eyes;
• May be traveling in an older model black Toyota Corolla.
Just is currently charged with felony Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.

“We will continue to work aggressively on these cases to rid this area of the problem that it has faced,” said Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge. “Our Juvenile Investigations Division and deputies have worked closely with the victims and homeowners in these areas to establish leads when it was believed that there would be no leads. This is a good example of how important it is for our citizens and law enforcement to come together and share information for the good of the community.”
