Attention to Neighborhood Watch Members and Paulding Citizens,

Recently three of Comcast's service cabinets were entered and the cable amplifiers had been taken. These are the small green utility boxes above the ground (see photo by clicking on the link). The equipment is used to boost network signals - this equipment will not function as a means of delivering service.

Comcast has informed me that employees working on the service cabinets will be in Comcast bucket trucks with logos and placards. The primary locations targeted are under developed subdivisions with little residents if any at all therefore giving subject(s) advantage from not being as visible and increasing time of discovery of theft from the incident time.

Comcast has advised that when one of these data modules are removed from the service cabinet users in that area, usually 10 or less, will lose cable/internet. They should be urged to be cognizant of person(s) entering the service cabinet if they experience an outage in non inclement weather conditions. If such activity is observed without presence of Comcast personnel in a bucket truck report immediately to Law Enforcement.
