The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for all of North Georgia until 10pm.

Daytime heating ahead of an approaching low pressure area will cause the development of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The storms are expected to reach severe limits and contain frequent cloud to ground lightning, damaging winds and large hail.

Persons in the warned area should remain alert to rapidly changing weather conditions and monitor local media and/or NOAA weather radio for later statements and possible warnings.
