Heat Advisory 
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for North Georgia until Thursday 8pm.
Heat Index values up to 106 today and 108 Thursday are forecasted. Prolonged exposure to this heat can be dangerous if proper precautions are not taken.
Drink plenty of fluids and stay out of direct sunshine. When possible reschedule strenuous work to early morning or evening hours.
The elderly, very young and persons with heart problems are at high risk to extreme heat. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat Stroke is an Emergency and medical attention should be sought immediately.
