The City of St. Louis remains under an EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING through Saturday, July 7th at 10 PM. 
Dangerous heat is expected through Saturday. High temperatures will be in excess of 100 degrees throughout this week.
The effects of excessive heat are cumulative. Take extra precautions of you must work or spend time outside. Reschedule strenuous activities to the early morning or evening hours. Know the signs and symptoms of heat stroke and heat exhaustion. Wear light and loose fitting clothing. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcoholic beverages.

Check on your neighbors, pets and small children who are vulnerable to extreme heat. Drink plenty of water. If you must be outdoors, take regular breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
