If you live or work in Poway, be advised of road closures for the annual Poway Days Parade and 5K Run on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

1. Pomerado Road will be closed to all northbound traffic from Stowe Drive to Poway Road 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Northbound Traffic will be detoured onto eastbound Stowe Drive or U-turn back to Scripps Poway Parkway.

2. Pomerado Road will be closed to all traffic in both directions in a one block segment between Poway Road and Oak Knoll Road between the approximate times of 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A suggested alternate route is to proceed west on Poway Road one block to Oak Knoll Road to get around the one block closure.

3. Poway Road will be closed to all traffic between Pomerado Road & Community Road beginning at 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. for the 5K event, then will open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. to allow parade spectators in. Poway Road will close again from 8:45 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade, estimated to be at approximately 12:00 p.m. The suggested alternate route around the area is to use Twin Peaks Road (to the north), which will be marked with detour signs along the route. Another alternative is Scripps Poway Parkway (to the south).

Westbound Poway Road traffic will detour onto Community Road north or south.
Eastbound Poway Road traffic will detour to northbound Pomerado, east to Ted Williams Pkwy, east on Twin Peaks Road, then south onto Community.
Northbound Pomerado Road traffic will detour to eastbound Stowe Drive, then north on Community Road.
