Evacuation Notice - San Marcos/Cocos Fire

This is the San Diego County Sheriff's Department with an emergency message and evacuation information on Thursday, May 15th.

There is a wildfire burning in the Harmony Grove and Del Dios areas of San Marcos. There is concern this fire may spread to your home, so you are being advised to evacuate.

Those that have been evacuated can go to a temporary evacuation site at Mission Hills High School located at 1 Mission Hills Court. San Marcos Middle School at 650 W. Mission Road and Escondido High School at 1535 N. Broadway also reopened as temporary evacuation sites.

Small animals are welcome at Mission Hills and Escondido High Schools. Large animals can be taken to Cloverdale Ranch at 2460 Cloverdale Road in Escondido.
