Homicide detectives have identified the murder suspect in the shooting death of Joseph McMahon, as Brandon Rafiepour.
The suspect is a male Armenian, 24-years-old and a resident of Los Angeles.

3rd Update is as Follows:
On Friday, July 24, 2015 at approximately 4:00 p.m., homicide detectives located the suspect in the shooting death of Joseph McMahon. The suspect was located inside his vehicle, with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, in the Los Angeles Police Department – West Los Angeles Division area.
The suspect appears to be a 24-year-old man.
The suspect was pronouced dead at the scene.
The suspect’s name is not being released at the time, pending next of kin notification.
The investigation is still on-going and no further information is available at this time.

On Friday, July 24, 2015, officials from the County of Los Angeles of Medical Examiner – Coroner identified the shooting victim as 24-year-old, not 25-year-old as initially stated in earlier press release, Joseph McMahon.

On Friday, July 24, 2015 at 2:19 a.m., Temple Station deputies responded to the 3600 block of Yorkshire Road, East Pasadena, regarding a possible gunshot victim call. When deputies arrived, they found a 25-year-old man, Pasadena resident, lying on the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim’s name is not being released at this time.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no suspect information at this time.
