The annual Communities of Light ceremony will be held tonight beginning at 4:00 PM at Witherspoon Hall and run along Witherspoon St. Hundreds of candles will be lit to show support for the victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. All are invited to attend and offer support for this important cause.
Communities of Light™ represents a powerful symbol of hope for victims/survivors of domestic violence, and sexual assault. By lining the streets and walkways with candles, Princeton University and township representatives attempt to raise awareness about these important issues and demonstrate our support for our county-based victim service agency, Womanspace, Inc.
