2017 Road Paving project to begin September 8th, see details below.
On or about Friday, September 8, 2017, construction will commence on the 2017 road paving project. The work to be performed includes milling and resurfacing of various streets located in the Township of Mahwah including installation/replacement of some damaged curb and handicap sidewalks where required . Milling and paving of the roads will be performed after the concrete (curb and sidewalk) repairs have been completed. This work is funded by a Local Aid Grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation, by a Community Development Grant and by the Township of Mahwah.
The above mentioned construction will be performed on the following roads:
· Hilltop Road – Ramsey Border to Airmont Avenue
· Stag Hill Road – Oak Road to New York border and Geiger Road to approximately 250’ south of Geiger Road
· Edison Road – Wyckoff Avenue to Whitney Road
· Beveridge Road – Miller Road to Airmount Road
· Leighton Place – Wyckoff Avenue to Dead End
· Seminary Drive – Darlington Avenue to Campgaw Road
· Whitney Road – Edison Road to Dead End
· Lambert Trail – Mcintosh Drive to Dead End
· Sargent Court – Cedar Hill Avenue to Dead End
· Youngs Road – Ramsey Border to Bartholf Lane
· Mahwah Municipal Building (475 Corporate Drive)
· S. Bayard Lane (curb work only)
· Indian Field Court (curb work only)
· Fire Company No. 3 Parking Lot
Homeowners will experience delays with access to and from the residences during the milling and paving operations, which normally take two (2) days to complete. No Parking and construction/detour signs will be posted along the roadway at least 24 hours prior to the start of the milling and paving on your road. Please keep in mind that inclement weather will delay construction. Please move your vehicle(s) off the street by 7:00 A.M. on the dates indicated on the signs. If you will not be utilizing your vehicle(s) during construction, it is not necessary to remove it/them from your driveway, but please keep in mind that you will not have any access to drive on the road during the paving operations, which will be performed the day after milling, weather permitting. Access to the street will be limited until approximately 5:30 P.M. on days of construction. Every effort will be made to assure that inconveniences are minimal and all work will be completed as quickly as possible.
