Comcast Sub-contractor summonsed into court on assault charges

On Tuesday, December 12th the Abington Police Department took a isolated report of an assault that took place in a home. It appears there was a sub-contractor performing work for Comcast in the victims home when he pushed the female against a wall and attempted to kiss her.

The 21 year old female was home alone at the time of the assault and she quickly called the police. Officers arrived and identified the man who was working as a sub-contractor for Comcast who was installing cable boxes. The man has a reported address in Rode Island.

Comcast is aware of the incident and the worker has been summonsed into Brockton District Court on two charges; Assault and Accosting a Person of the Opposite Sex.

This is a good time to remind everyone that you must be vigilant whenever you bring a stranger onto your property and in your home. You should make sure the person showing up at your door has the proper identification, remove all valuables from the work area and keep a watchful eye on the contractor at all times.
