**UPDATE - ARREST** IMPD Homicide detectives investigating after man found dead in residence

Arrested: Ka’ron Bickham (18), juvenile male

Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested two individuals for Felony Murder and Burglary related to the Criminal Homicide of Dr. Kevin Rodgers that occurred on November 20, 2017. On 12/14/2017, 18-year-old Ka’ron Bickham-Hurst was arrested along with a juvenile. No Probable Cause has been filed and there will be no additional updates at this time. This is still an ongoing investigation.

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives are investigating after a man is found dead inside a residence on the city's northwest side. 

Just after 12 p.m. on 11/20/2017, officers with the IMPD were dispatched to the 7500 block of Ballinshire S, on reports of DOA. Responding officers arrived along with Pike Township Medics, who located an unresponsive male victim suffering from signs of trauma. Medics pronounced the victim dead on-scene. 

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and began canvassing the area for witnesses. The Indianapolis – Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The name of the victim can be obtained from the MCCO after proper next-of-kin notification has been made.
