Please be advised of the following construction project that will be taking place this weekend:
The Contractor working on the LIRR 2nd Track Project is required to construct new platforms and associated structures at Wyandanch Station.
Today, May 22nd, Long Island Avenue from Grand Blvd to Deer Street will be closed and detouring traffic as specified in our PE approved MPT road detour plans which comply with NYS DOT traffic control standards and have been reviewed with LIRR and TOB. Be advised, construction will be performed only on LIRR property. This is the same road detour for work performed last weekend. As a reminder, the small portion of Grand Blvd between Long Island Ave and Doe Street has been temporarily changed to allow for two way traffic while this detour is in effect.
