Clearlake Gleaners Offering Food Assistance for River and Ranch Fire Survivors
With many Lake County residents still displaced as a result of the River and Ranch Fires, and others struggling to restock their refrigerators and cupboards in the face of surmounting needs brought by wildfire, Clearlake Gleaners is here to help.
Staple food items, such as bread, eggs and water are available. Residents can also obtain some produce, such as carrots, pantry items like peanut butter and jelly, and even canned chicken and hamburger meat.
Foods such as these can lend a bit of normalcy in challenging circumstances. Clearlake Gleaners knows this well, from the tremendous work they have done serving low income Lake County residents for many years.
They are pleased, during times of disaster, to be able to expand their services and bring comfort and sustenance to any impacted individual or family.
“We are working with the State and Redwood Empire Food Bank of Santa Rosa, to help those impacted by the River and Ranch Fires get the food they need,” shares Clearlake Gleaners Board Chairman, Juan Dominguez.
All individuals impacted by the River and Ranch Fires are encouraged to visit Clearlake Gleaners’ Finley facility. There are no income restrictions at this time.
They are located at 1896 Big Valley Road, and while the disaster is ongoing, they are open every day, Sunday-Saturday, from 8am-12pm. For more information, call (707) 263-8082.
