Synopsis: The victim, a male in his 20s, was in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. The suspect, a male 30 to 40 years old, tried to intervene and he slapped the victim across the face. The victim then punched the suspect knocking him down. The suspect got up and ran away. A few minutes later the suspect returned. He ran by the victim and stabbed him in the back. The suspect was last seen running northbound and is not in custody at this time. The victim was transported to the hospital with a non life threatening injury. Western Division detectives will be investigating the incident.
