IMPD Hit and Run Detectives seek public's assistance in locating suspect vehicle that struck and killed pedestrian

INCIDENT TYPE: Fatal Hit & Run Accident
 
INCIDENT LOCATION: 6000 E. 82nd Street

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Hit and Run detectives are seeking the public’s help locating a suspect and vehicle involved in a hit and run accident that killed a man on Indy's north side. 
 
Just after 7:30 a.m. on 02/07/2018, officers with the IMPD were dispatched to 6000 block E. 82nd Street, on reports of a person struck by a vehicle. Responding officers located an unresponsive male victim, later identified as Dominic Mitchell (24),  suffering from significant injuries. EMS personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead on-scene.
 
Hit and Run detectives learned that a 2002-2009 Land Rover or Range Rover, unknown color, fled the scene. Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect and vehicle involved in this accident. Vehicle color is unknown, attached photo is a stock photo. Detectives believe there to be damage to the front passenger side, including the passenger headlight and possibly the hood.
