Plane Crash At Compton/Woodley Airport, #LASD Compton Deputies On Scene

Compton Station deputies responded to a call of a plane crash at Compton/Woodley Airport on Wednesday March 13, 2019 at approximately 6:52 P.M.
When they arrived, Compton Fire Department personnel had extinguished a fire from two small Cessna type planes that appeared to have been involved in a collision.
There is one confirmed fatality at the scene and another person was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
The crash site has been secured by Compton Sheriff’s Station patrol deputies, pending the response of Sheriff’s Department Aero Bureau and the Federal Aviation Administration.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
