Lucas Mageno is arrested for criminal threats and assault after barricading himself inside a residence

SUSPECT: Lucas Mageno, 48-year-old resident of Yucca Valley
VICTIM: Loren Marken, 72-year-old resident of Yucca Valley
SUMMARY:
On June 1, 2019, at approximately 7:41 pm, Morongo Station deputies responded to the 57000 block of Castro Rd in the Town of Yucca Valley, following the reports of a fight. During the investigation, deputies learned Lucas Mageno arrived at Loren Marken's residence looking for his girlfriend who was there doing work at the residence. Lucas believed she was cheating on him with Loren. Lucas proceeded to assault Loren, causing great bodily injury. Lucas fled the scene and was located at a residence in the 8200 block of Kickapoo Trail in Yucca Valley. Lucas barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to come outside. There were several other people inside the residence whose welfare could not be verified. The San Bernardino Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) was called out and assumed the investigation. After several hours, SED personnel entered the residence and took Lucas into custody without incident. Lucas was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for Criminal Threats and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
