INCIDENT: Injury Hit and Run/Attempted Murder/Murder
LOCATION: 12100 block of 1st Street, Yucaipa
VICTIM: Donald Parkerson, age 54 of Yucaipa
SUSPECT: Lorene Ceci, age 48 of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On July 19, 2019, at 1:35 a.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Police Department were dispatched to a call of a man down in the roadway after being run over by a vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Donald Parkerson, in the roadway suffering from major injuries. Witnesses informed deputies that the suspect, Lorene Ceci, had been in an argument with the occupants of the residence. The victim exited his home and got into an argument with the suspect while she was seated inside a vehicle. The suspect ran over the victim prior to fleeing from the location. Donald Parkerson was transported to a local area hospital.
At approximately 5:31 pm, deputies responded to the report of a suspicious person in the area of the 12100 block of 7th Street. Deputies identified the subject to be Lorene Ceci. Ceci was arrested, transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Attempted Murder.
On Monday, July 22, 2019, Donald Parkerson succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail were requested and have assumed in the investigation. Lorene Ceci was booked for PC187 Murder.
