Specialized Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Detail arrested Kirstin Andrews for Felony Child Abuse

LOCATION: 27700 Block of Brucite Road, Barstow
SUSPECT: Kristin Andrews, 28 years old, resident of Barstow
VICTIM: Confidential, Five-month-old male
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, December 19, 2019, the Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children Detail, responded to Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) for a Child and Family Services immediate response referral. The five-month-old victim was admitted to LLUMC with seven healing rib fractures, bruises on his wrist and petechiae (broken capillaries) on his face.
The Crimes Against Children Detail conducted an investigation and at the conclusion of the investigation, Kristin Andrews was arrested for PC 273a(a), Felony Child Abuse. Andrews is related to the victim.
Andrews was booked at Central Detention Center and her bail is set at $100,000.
