Advisory

Two men were arrested for Commercial Burglary and released from custody per the statewide $0 bail order

DATE: April 16, 2020 / 2:37 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 459 – Commercial Burglary

LOCATION: 12300 Block of Foothill Blvd.

SUSPECT: Jose Arredondo, 30-years-old, resident of Fontana
Martin Lozier, 32-years-old, resident of Fontana

Summary:
On April 16, 2020 at 2:37 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the location for the report of suspicious circumstances. The location is a vacant building in the process of becoming a new restaurant, Texas De Brazil. A witness observed two males take copper piping and propane tanks from within the building, load it into a blue Honda truck, and the witness was able to provide the license plate. The suspect vehicle left the area before deputies arrived.

Through investigation, deputies learned the vehicle was last seen in the area of Foothill Blvd and Cherry Ave in the City of Fontana. Deputies quickly responded to the nearest recycling center in Fontana where the suspect vehicle was located. Both suspects, identified as Jose Arredondo and Martin Lozier, were in the process of getting paid for the stolen copper. Deputies were able to take them both into custody without incident. The witness positively identified Arredondo and Lozier as the suspects who stole copper piping and propane tanks from within the business.

In compliance with the statewide Emergency Bail Schedule, issued by the California Judicial Council, bail for most misdemeanor and felony offenses must be set at $0. Because of this criteria, Arredondo and Lozier were booked into the West Valley Detention Center and released from custody following the booking process.
