Following a pursuit, deputies arrest Dakota Dyer for felony reckless evading

SUSPECT(S): Dakota Dyer, 21-year-old resident of Twentynine Palms
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, April 22, 202, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station attempted to stop a dirt bike rider on Gorgonio Drive, near the intersection of Ocotillo Avenue. The rider failed to yield and committed several dangerous Vehicle Code violations in an attempt to evade deputies, including speeding through residential areas, running stop signs, and driving on the sidewalk. After the vehicle pursuit, deputies took the rider of the dirt bike, Dakota Dyer, into custody as he attempted to flee on foot. Dyer was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held without bail, pursuant to outstanding warrants for his arrest.
