Public Health Officer issues updated Shelter At Home Order for Napa County.
Napa County’s Public Health Officer has released an updated Shelter At Home Order for Napa County. The local order is now aligned and consistent with the State of California’s Stay At Home Order and “Roadmap to Modify the Stay At Home Order.” The order has no end date and is subject to amendments by the Public Health Officer or changes to the State’s Order.
The changes to this Order include the allowance of outdoor recreation sports that can comply with physical distancing requirements; however, person-to-person contact sports are still prohibited. Drive-in activities that can comply with physical distancing requirements are now also allowed.
Businesses will be permitted to reopen within the State of California’s framework that identifies four-stages to reopening. More information on the State’s Order and plans can be found here: www.covid19.ca.gov
Per the State’s Order, the only additional businesses permitted to open on Friday, May 8th are retail businesses that offer curbside service with proper physical distancing protocols. Examples of businesses that can operate curbside retail include: bookstores, jewelry stores, toy stores, clothing stores, shoe stores, home and furnishing stores, sporting goods stores, antique stores, music stores and florists. The supply chains supporting the above businesses in manufacturing and logistics sectors may also open beginning May 8th. All other non-essential businesses should remain closed. Additional information is available on the State’s website at https://covid19.ca.gov/roadmap/
Finally, this revision requires wearing cloth face coverings when inside places of business and in workplaces when interacting with any person where six feet of physical distancing cannot be maintained. The face coverings requirement provides for exclusions, such as when you are engaged in outdoor activities, and exceptions for certain populations. The cloth face covering requirement is in effect beginning Saturday, May 9th at 12:01 AM.
