South River Municipal Court Virtual Sessions
In order to limit exposure to COVID-19, South River Municipal Court will begin to hold virtual court sessions utilizing Zoom video conferencing. If an individual opts to appear in a virtual court session, they will not have to appear at the courthouse in person.
This option is voluntary and is available for most court matters. Defendants who do not wish to utilize this option must wait until in person court sessions resume to have their case heard. Please note that trials must be conducted at the municipal courthouse once in person court sessions resume.
If you have a pending case with the South River Municipal Court and are interested in appearing at a virtual court session, please send an email to [email protected] and include the following information:
The court will review your request and schedule your case for a virtual court hearing if deemed appropriate. You will receive an email with instructions on how to participate. Please expect to be available for up to one hour for your virtual court hearing.
Notice to attorneys – You may request a virtual court date for your client as well as enter your appearance. In addition to the above information, please also include your client’s email address and your office information in your email. You and your client will receive an email confirmation with instructions on how to participate.
The South River Municipal Court’s payment window remains closed to the public. Payments for parking offenses as well as certain traffic and criminal matters can be made online at njmcdirect.com. Payments can also be made by mail utilizing the following address:
South River Municipal Court staff remain available by telephone at 732-257-1233 on weekdays from 9:00am until 12:00pm for any assistance needed.
