Monday 6/1/20 at 5pm, Protest rally to occur in Asbury Park in front of the post office, on behalf of George Floyd. 
There is a scheduled protest on behalf of George Floyd to occur in Asbury Park on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 5pm. The location is in front of the post office on Bangs Avenue. This section of roadway will be closed from Main Street to Bangs Avenue starting at 4pm. The municipal lot north of the flagpole, will be closed as well. This is to allow protesters to assemble while continuing to maintain social distancing. Attendees are asked to park their vehicles at the transportation center on the Memorial Drive side.
The Asbury Park Police Department stands in solidarity with our community to promote a peaceful demonstration. Furthermore, we denounce the actions of the officers involved in the murder of George Floyd and any acts of police misconduct.
