TWO SUBJECTS ARRESTED FOR THEFT & STOLEN CATALYTIC CONVERTERS
On Saturday, June 20th, at approximately 3:10AM, officers responded to a business in the 41000 block of Albrae St. for a burglary. A witness reported seeing several subjects break into a fenced area of the business. The suspects began stealing from cars and trucks on the property. Officers arrived on scene and detained two subjects. They were found in possession of stolen property, illegal drugs, and recently cut catalytic converters.
33 year old Esteban Gil of Oakland was arrested for felony possession of stolen property, misdemeanor theft, and various misdemeanor drug charges. Due to “zero bail” guidelines, Gil was released on a citation with a future court date.
37 year old Tuan Hoang of Fremont was arrested for misdemeanor petty theft and drug possession. He was cited and released at the scene. Both crimes would have resulted in citations even prior to the “zero bail” guidelines.
Booking photos of Gil and Hoang are not available. Both have several prior arrests for theft.
The firearm in the photograph was found to be an airsoft gun.
