Argument Leads to Stabbing

On 7/9/20, a short time after 6:00 p.m., Simi Valley Police Officers responded to the area of Vera Cruz Court. A resident reported a man in his early 20's was pounding on the front door and was bleeding heavily. When officers arrived, they learned that the man banging on the door had been stabbed multiple times.

The stabbing reportedly occurred on a trail near the Mount McCoy cross. The victim did not provide additional details regarding what occurred nor who stabbed him. Preliminary investigation appeared to suggest that this was not a random attack, but that the suspects targeted the victim. Citizen witnesses reported seeing an argument between some young men near the cross, but did not see the stabbing.

VCFD and AMR medical personnel arrived, treated the victim, and ultimately transported him to Los Robles Medical Center. His wounds are not believed to be life threatening.

SVPD Detectives are handling the follow-up investigation. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please contact the Simi Valley Police Department at (805) 583-6950.
