Sheriff's Office investigating possible connections in recent Hilton Head Island shooting incidents.

Sheriff's Office investigators are looking into possible connections among several recent shooting incidents on Hilton Head Island.

No one has been charged in the shootings as of yet. It is believed the victims were specifically targeted by those responsible. The shootings do not appear to be random.

 

The Shootings

On Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 (4:40 p.m.), a man was wounded by gunfire on Alfred Lane — off of Bryant Road — Hilton Head. In addition, three homes and a vehicle were struck by bullets during the incident.

As of today, the wounded man remains hospitalized at Savannah Memorial for treatment of gunshot wounds.

On Monday morning (1:15 a.m.), Dec. 7, a home on Mustang Lane — off of Old Wild Horse Road — was struck by bullets.

Last night (11:30 p.m.), Dec. 7, a home and a vehicle on Palm Tree Place — off of Baygall Road — were struck by bullets.

Early this morning (3:00 a.m.), Dec. 8, a home on Thomas Cohen Drive — off of Spanish Wells Road — was struck by bullets.

Cartridge casings of varying calibers were recovered in all of the incidents. The recovered casings will be subjected to forensic analyses.
