INCIDENT: 29800 (A)(1) P.C. Felon in possession of a firearm, 11364(A) H&S Possession of drug paraphernalia, 11377(A) H&S possession of a controlled substance.

LOCATION: Bailey Ave & Erin Dr., Needles California

SUSPECT: Jabari Buchanan, 39-year-old male from Victorville

SUMMARY:
On December 25, 2020 at approximately 11:04 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Bailey Ave. and Erin Dr., in the city of Needles, for a vehicle code violation. During the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted in which deputies contacted a passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Jabari Buchanan, who was in possession of a firearm, drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance. During the investigation, it was revealed Buchanan had an outstanding warrant for a parole violation.

Buchanan was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and his warrant. Buchanan was booked at the Needles Jail and is being held pending his court appearance with no bail.
