IMPD Homicide Detectives Make Arrest in Homicide Investigation

INCIDENT LOCATION: 4415 E. Michigan Street    
 
COMMUNITY MESSAGE: INDIANAPOLIS -  On Thursday, January 21, 2021, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives identified and arrested a suspect allegedly involved in the death of 43-year-old Pablo Rodruguez.

On May 17, 2020, just before 12:13 a.m., East District officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of E. Michigan Street on a report of a person shot.  When officers arrived, they located an adult male who appeared to have injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Officers called for the assistance of Indianapolis EMS who responded and transported the male to an area hospital in critical condition. Despite the best life-saving efforts provided by medical staff, the male later died from his injuries.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence.

Homicide detectives continued their investigation and were able to identify the alleged suspect. On January 21, 2021, Homicide Detectives announced the arrest of 32-year-old Adam Starr for murder in his alleged involvement in the death of Pablo Rodruguez. The Marion County Prosecutors Office (MCPO) will review the case and determine a final charging decision
