Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing to assist the South Gate Police Department with the shooting death of a male Hispanic adult that occurred on the 8900 block of Elizabeth Ave., in the city of South Gate. The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at approximately 2:50 PM.
Detectives have learned that officers with the South Gate Police Department responded to the location regarding a gunshot victim.
Upon their arrival, the located two male Hispanics in their 20's, both suffering from gunshot wounds to their upper and lower torsos. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where one of the victims was pronounced deceased. The other victim is listed in stable condition.
There is no known motive or suspect description at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are assisting South Gate Police Department with a shooting death investigation of a male adult and the injury of another. The incident was reported on the 8900 block Elizabeth Ave., South Gate, at approximately 2:50 PM.
Both male adults were transported to a local area hospital where one succumbed to his injuries, and the other was being treated for his wounds.
