Sheriff's Office investigating last night's Pine Oaks Mobile Home Park, Burton shooting. Three people wounded.

Shortly after 10:00 last night, June 15, 2021, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a shooting incident at Pine Oaks Mobile Home Park, Joe Frazier Road, Burton.

When deputies arrived, three adult gunshot victims — two men and one woman — were located at the scene.

Deputies rendered aid to one of the victims — the woman — who had sustained a serious wound, while Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded.

The wounded woman and one of the wounded men were transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital (BMH) by EMS. After a medical assessment at BMH, the wounded woman was stabilized and transferred to the Medical University of South Carolina.

The other wounded man refused medical attention at the scene, but later showed up at BMH to receive treatment for his wound.

At the scene, it was learned that the unknown subjects left the area immediately following the shooting.

Sheriff's Office investigators responded to interview witnesses and process for forensic evidence. Numerous cartridge casings were located and collected for forensic examination.

As of the time of this advisory, the wounded woman remains hospitalized at MUSC.
