*UPD* #LASD Homicide Assisting Bell PD with Officer-Involved Shooting Investigation, 6700 Atlantic Ave., City of Bell
Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are assisting the Bell Police Department an investigation into the circumstances surrounding an officer-involved shooting.
Officers from the Bell Police Department responded to a call of a suicidal person. The person called and stated they were depressed and had a gun, and would meet officers at the 6700 block of Atlantic Ave. in the city of Bell.
Upon their arrival, officers saw an adult male pointing a gun to his head. After officers spoke with the man and he set the gun down. He then picked it up again and pointed it at the officers, and an officer-involved shooting occurred.
The suspect was treated by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics and transported to a nearby hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are assisting Bell Police Department regarding an Officer-Involved shooting investigation that occurred at the 6700 block of Atlantic Ave., in the city of Bell. The incident occurred Sunday, June 20, 2021 at approximately 10:06 PM.
The male adult suspect was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition.
