Sheriff’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man in Compton.
Deputies from Compton Station responded to the area of South Wilmington Avenue and West Atresia Boulevard at 12:41 AM regarding a traffic collision call for service. Upon arriving they found a downed motorcyclist, a Black man in his thirties, in the street.
It was discovered the male victim sustained gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description at this time. The murder weapon remains outstanding.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to a shooting death investigation. The incident was reported Sunday, June 27, 2021 at approximately 12:41 AM, at the intersection of Wilmington Ave. and Artesia Blvd., Compton.
The male adult victim was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
