WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM EST FRIDAY
Please plan ahead for the upcoming snow storm projected to touch down in the Princeton Area in the early morning hours of Friday, January 7th. The National Weather Service is calling for 4-6 inches of snow and possible wind gust of up to 35mph, which will cause snow drifts and hazardous road conditions. You may even see the unusual weather pattern called "thundersnow". This is when you will hear thunder and lightning during the snowfall, and it doesn't happen often!
All vehicles should be removed from the road so that plow crews can work. Please park in one of the garages. Also please do not put snow from your driveway into the roads, the plow drivers are doing their best to clear municipal roads.
Should you lose power during the storm please contact your utility provider and not the police department (and please don't call 9-1-1).
PSEG Customers: You can report an outage by phone (800) 436-PSEG (7734) or text "OUT" to 4PSEG (47734). Please register your phone first by texting "REG" to 4PSEG. Once registered they will keep you updated with real-time power outage updates/restoration information to your cell phone and/or e-mail.
JCP&L Customers: You can report an outage by phone (888) -544-4877
If you see downed power lines please don't go near them and call the police (609) 921-2100 or call 9-1-1.
If you lose power and are using a portable generator DO NOT use it indoors. It must be used outdoors and away from your home.
FINALLY: We ask that you be considerate and remove the snow from your sidewalks as soon as possible after the end of the snowstorm
Instructions:
Please drive carefully and stay home if possible
