SUSPECT: Morgan, Alicia – 37 year old, Pomona Resident
NARRATIVE:
On Friday, April 8, 2022, Pomona PD’s Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) and SWAT served a search warrant at a suspected illegal gambling casino in the City of Pomona at 1836 S. White Ave. After receiving several citizen complaints and anonymous tips about suspicious activity in the 1800 block of S. White., MCTF discovered evidence of an illegal gambling casino. A search warrant was obtained and executed by Pomona PD SWAT.
Inside the residential property officers located evidence of an illegal casino and an undisclosed amount of US currency was recovered. In addition to the large sum of money, an unregistered firearm was located in the bedroom of Alicia Morgan. Morgan is a prohibited person and is unable to possess a firearm or ammunition.
Morgan was booked at the Pomona city jail for the above mentioned charges.
UNIT:
The Pomona Police Department’s, Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) is a specialized unit within the police department that is responsible for suppressing gang violence, investigating drug offenses and pursuing wanted persons. The team is comprised of two supervisors and four officers, supplemented by Patrol officers.
MCTF was assisted in this operation by the Pomona PD Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking Team (SETT).
