Sheriff's Office investigating shooting at Celebration Park, Hilton Head. One person wounded; three in custody 
At approximately 4:45 today, June 18, 2022, Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a shooting at Lowcountry Celebration Park on Hilton Head Island.
When deputies arrived, they learned a man had been shot by a juvenile, who was part of a group of five juveniles.
A short time later, deputies saw three of the juveniles — all male — running toward a nearby restaurant.
The three were located by deputies and taken into custody. Two handguns were found in the juveniles' belongings.
Two of the juveniles — an African American male and a Caucasian female — are still at large. It is unknown if they are armed.
There is no further description of the two. Video surveillance footage will be reviewed.
The wounded man was transported to the Hilton Head Hospital for treatment.
According to witnesses, prior to the shooting, the wounded man interrupted the juveniles breaking into a vehicle.
Deputies are evaluating criminal charges for the three juveniles in custody.
