Earlier today, November 1^st, 2022, Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the Holiday Inn Express at 35 Bluffton Road, Bluffton, SC for a gunshot victim. 

When they arrived, they found a 37-year-old man on the fourth floor of the hotel with a gunshot wound to his arm. 

Beaufort County EMS transported the injured man to Savannah Memorial Hospital for treatment where he remains in stable condition.

Investigators collected evidence, reviewed video surveillance, and conducted interviews at the hotel and surrounding businesses.

While doing so, they learned that Davian Stephon Williams, 27, of greater Bluffton, was the person responsible for the shooting.

The victim and Williams are acquainted with one another.

Deputies began canvassing the area in search of Williams.  He was found in the parking lot of a neighboring business a short time later where he was taken into custody.    

Davian Williams faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.  He is incarcerated at the Beaufort County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
