Police Release Images of Wanted Suspect
Lewdness Suspect Targeting Royal Oaks Apartment Complex
South Brunswick Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect who has been accosting women over the past four months. The male suspect approaches the woman while he is completely naked while he aggressively manipulates his waist area. In each case the victims report that the only thing the suspect is wearing is a ski mask covering his face. The incidents have all taken place in the Royal Oaks Apartment Complex and adjacent trail. There have been five incidents since July with the latest being yesterday. Detective Sergeant Timothy Hoover said, “We are concerned that suspect now is confronting a woman in broad daylight. His previous incidents all took place between 11 pm and 12:30 am under the cover of darkness. Yesterday’s incident took place at 4:30 pm.”
The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10 to 6 feet tall, medium build, with long dreadlocks.
Police believe there may be other unreported incidents. “We are trying to connect all the incidents to develop additional leads,” said Sergeant Hoover. All of the incidents have taken place off Henderson Road between Route 1 and Blackhorse Lane.
Sergeant Hoover said, “We are asking residents of the area to check their Ring doorbell cameras to see if anything was captured yesterday afternoon. Based on some of the images we have already seen, we believe the suspect may work out and we are asking area gyms to take a look at the images we are releasing.” Two images are being released one with a front profile and one showing his side profile.
