#LASD Arrest of Private School Teacher, Seeking Additional Victims #Calabasas
Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Victims Bureau are investigating the allegations of a teacher, identified as 39-year-old Travis Shojinaga, taking inappropriate photographs of underage children without their knowledge. Lost Hills Sheriff's Station deputies arrested Mr. Shojinaga on February 25, 2026, on the 23600 block of Mulholland Highway located in the city of Calabasas.
The case was presented to the District Attorney’s Office at the Van Nuys Courthouse on Friday, February 27, 2026, and Mr. Shojinaga was formally charged with one felony count of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, violation of 311.11 (A) PC and four misdemeanor counts of Annoying or Molesting a Child Under 18, a violation of 647.6 (A)(1) PC.
Mr. Shojinaga is being held in custody with a $ 1,000,000 bail.
At this time, several victims have been identified. Mr. Shojinaga was a teacher at Viewpoint School in the city of Calabasas and has had contact with numerous juveniles in the course of that employment. The school has been cooperative and he is no longer employed with the school.
Based on the nature of the offenses, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims.
