National Grid is distributing dry ice and bottled water due to prolonged power outages in Warren County. Distribution is occurring at the Pottersville Volunteer Fire Dept., located at 20 Valley Farm Rd in Chestertown, and the West Glens Fall Fire Co., located at 33 Luzerne Rd. in Queensbury, today, March 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

If you experience a power outage, there are steps you can take to keep you, your family, and pets safe: 

• Do not use a gas stove or oven for heat. 
• Keep generators outside, away from windows. 
• Keep refrigerators and freezers closed. 
• Disconnect appliances to prevent electrical surge.
