Deal Police Arrest 93 at Underage Drinking Party

On January 22, 2011 the Deal Police Department responded to a Neptune Avenue residence in reference to a large underage drinking party. Police were tipped off to the party following a motor vehicle stop in which two Juveniles coming from the party were found to be intoxicated.

Upon arrival at 76 Neptune Ave in Deal, Police Officers located a large number of people inside the home that were underage and consuming alcohol. One individual was transported by Deal First Aid to Monmouth Medical Center for severe intoxication. At the conclusion of the Investigation a total of 93 individuals were charged with Underage Consumption of Alcohol in violation of Borough Ordinance and 7 juveniles were released to their parents.

Dylan Ellis of Bethesda, MD attempted to run from police and was later apprehended and charged with obstruction in addition to underage consumption of Alcohol.

The tenants of the home, who attend Monmouth University, are; Nicholas Pagano of Hasbrouck, NJ, Jacob Schiller of Madison, NJ and Brian Hentz of Sayreville, NJ. Mr. Hentz and Mr. Pagano face additional charges of Maintaining a Nuisance and Serving Alcohol to those under the legal drinking age. Mr. Schiller faces additional charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Serving Alcohol to those under the legal drinking age and Maintaining a Nuisance.

Sgt William Hulse, Patrolman Brian Resetar and Patrolman Nicholas Vaccaro made the arrests.

The Allenhurst, Ocean Township, and Monmouth University Police Departments assisted with the incident.
