Update on moped accident from May 25th, 2012. 
As previously reported on Friday May 25th, 2012 the Columbia Township Police Department responded to a personal injury accident on Main St. near River St.
Officers had responded and determined the driver had crashed his moped while traveling northbound on Main St. just North of River. St. The driver of moped has been identified as Richard A. Decker of Brooklyn. As a result of the crash Decker had sustained serious injuries. Due to the serious head injuries rescue personnel called for a airlift and Decker was flown to the University of Michigan Hospital where is was initially listed in serious condition. His condition was upgraded to stable later that same day.
As of May 27th, 2012 Decker was still at the University of Michigan Hospital where is listed in fair condition.
The cause on the accident still remains under investigation.
