CORRECTION:
The Sheboygan Police Department are seeking a suspect for the shooting that occurred at approximately 6:45 pm on June 16, 2012 at 1818 S. 9th STREET.
This stemmed from the incident in which police were dispatched to St. Nicholas Hospital, 3100 Superior Avenue, for a report of a 24 year old male who had suffered a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers were advised that associates of the injured male had transported the male to the hospital after locating him in street in the 1800 block of South 9th Street. The male was transported by Flight for Life to a Milwaukee hospital and later died of his injuries. The victim is identified as Brandon Davis, 24 years of age, from Sheboygan.
Detectives investigated the incident and found that the deceased male was actually shot within the residence of 1818 South 9th Street and then transported to the hospital. The investigation led to the identification of the suspect as Ronnie L. Polk, 27 years of age, from Milwaukee. The suspect fled the residence after the shooting and is currently being sought by police for questioning. The suspect and victim are known to each other and may have a family tie. Police have recovered the weapon used during the incident.
The Sheboygan Police Department is asking the suspect to turn himself in to local police. If anyone has information regarding the investigation or the whereabouts of the suspect, please contact the Sheboygan Police Department.
