A "Safety Awareness" event was conducted today by SCPD's 6th and 7th Pcts. at Sam's Club in Medford. Representatives from SCPD, Suffolk County Auxiliary Police, Medford Volunteer FD and Ambulance Corp, and Suffolk's Office of Emergency Management were present. SCPD provided free-of-charge Child Ident-A-Kits for all kids who attended event. Included in these kits is a photograph, fingerprints, and a DNA swab. These kits can be utilized by parents and law enforcement officials in the event that a child is reported missing.
