Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the 11400 block of Lindale Street, Norwalk.
The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Joe Nava.
The suspect, 44-year-old Jose Nunez, was booked at Norwalk Station for murder and is being held without bail.
A rifle was recovered at the scene.
There is no additional information at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2015, in the 11400 block of Lindale Street, Norwalk.
Detectives have learned that Norwalk Station deputies responded to the location regarding an “assault with a deadly weapon” call. Upon their arrival, they found the victim, a male, Hispanic adult, inside the residence suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim lived at the residence with his girlfriend and her adult brother.
The adult brother has been detained, pending further investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
