The Oakland Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection with the home invasion robbery and assault that occurred earlier this morning in the 4600 block of Sequoyah Road.
The two suspects were arrested just after 4:00 a.m., by Oakland patrol officers in the vicinity of Mountain Boulevard and Sequoyah Road. The suspects were detained in a vehicle that was reported in carjacking yesterday afternoon in Oakland. Investigators recovered loss items taken from the Sequoyah Road residence. Additionally officers recovered a replica firearm from the stolen vehicle.
The victim’s vehicle taken early this morning from the Sequoyah Road residence is still outstanding. The description of the outstanding vehicle is a 2001 Cadillac sedan, champagne/gold in color with a California license plate of 4TLA277.
One of the victims, in his 70’s, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital and has since been released. The second victim, in his 80’s, had minor injuries and was medically treated at the scene.
Officers were able to make a swift arrest due to information provided by patrol officers and investigators working together along with the community.
